Lead Integration Engineer im Team Technology Consulting (m/f/d)

As Lead Integration Engineer (m/w/d), you design and manage integration architectures in complex, distributed system landscapes. You control the implementation across system boundaries, orchestrierst interfaces, data flows and event streams and ensure stable, high performance system communication. You combine technical requirements with scalable, service-oriented architectures and take a leading role in the technical design and decision making. Design: With your architectural understanding, you develop integration architectures, define interfaces and shape data flows in distributed system landscapes and microservice environments.

Further winding: You drive integration concepts, API governance and technical standards and evaluate new technologies for future-oriented architectures.

Implement: Routiniert you implement integration solutions, configure interfaces and optimize communication via REST, SOAP as well as event and messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ. Develop: You implement technical solutions in a development-oriented manner and set up scripts, mock services or tools to support integration and test processes. You actively participate in analyses, debugging, code reviews and CI/CD-related processes. Transform: You develop data mappings and transformation logics, secure validation, routing and format conversion, and optimize integration platforms and middleware.

Analyze: Complex requirements are structured by you, transferred to technical solutions and documented in a comprehensible manner, such as user stories, use cases or technical specifications.

Modeling: Technical processes and system interactions visualize with UML or sequence diagrams and bring different stakeholders together in workshops.

Testing: You plan and control integration and system tests, use test automation in a targeted manner and monitor data flows as well as event processes. Optimize: During ongoing operation, you analyze data exchange disruptions, take responsibility in 3rd level support and ensure stable and high performance integrations.

Taxes: You take communication with customers, departments and project management and ensure transparent coordination and reporting during the project. Depending on the application, you take responsibility in the project management including Staffing.

Qualification: completed studies of informatics, industrial informatics, industrial engineering or comparable; alternatively a well-founded training in the IT environment, such as system integration

Experience: multiannual professional experience, ideally from six years, in system integration, integration architecture, interface development or in comparable roles

Knowledge: very good knowledge in REST, SOAP, event and messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ as well as in integration patterns and API design

Technology understanding: safe practice in handling JSON, XML, data mappings, SQL and Java as well as experience with Microservices and Event Driven Architectures

Tooling: routine use of tools like Jira, Confluence, Git, Docker, Postman, Bruno, SoapUI or Grafana

Industry experience: Experience in the insurance environment

Language knowledge: German on C1/C2 level and English on at least B2 level

Travel readiness: Flexibility for project-dependent operations at the customer

Additional knowledge: knowledge of JavaScript for test automation as well as experience with Spring Boot, Apache Camel or Guidewire are of advantage Your personality Analytical: Complex relationships you recognize quickly and bring them clearly to the point.
