(Senior) Underwriter – MGA / Delegated Authority Europe

You contribute to the sustainable and profitable development of the European Delegated Authority business. This includes, in particular, controlling MGA partnerships, monitoring portfolios and ensuring compliance with governance and underwriting standards. Building, maintaining and developing relationships with European MGA partners with the aim of sustainable and profitable business development Analysis, monitoring and control of MGA portfolios based on KPIs, data-driven insights and the defined risk appetite Implementation of referral underwriting for risks outside the signatories and ensuring compliance with underwriting policies Control and monitoring of Delegated Authority agreements taking into account internal, regulatory and governance requirements Close cooperation with internal functions (especially actuariat, risk, compliance, finance, legal) to ensure portfolio performance Contact person: for European branches to promote the coordination and support of local market development Identification, assessment and support of the connection of new MGA counterparties in line with the strategic objectives

Complete studies of economics or training for traders for insurance and finance or a comparable qualification Professional experience in underwriting in insurance or reinsurance environment, knowledge in Delegated Authority / MGA Experience or basic understanding in the management of insurance portfolios (performance, profitability, risk) Analytical and quantitative understanding and ability to derive decisions from data Impressed commercial understanding and ability to balance growth and risk targets Good communication skills in dealing with internal and external stakeholders Self-employed, structured and responsible working in an international environment Very good knowledge of German and English at a safe level (C1) readiness for occasional missions within Europe No one is perfect and not all career paths are straight.
