Design Manager (m/f/d)

Your role As a design manager, you take over the professional and disciplinary leadership of our construction department. You ensure that our systems are developed in an innovative, efficient and in the highest quality – and actively shape the future of our product portfolio. You are a central interface between sales, project management, production and service and brings together technology, processes and people.

Your tasks You conduct and develop our design team professionally and disciplinary For clear priorities, efficient processes and transparent capacity planning You strengthen the team's cooperation and promote an open, solution-oriented culture You are responsible for the construction and further development of our thermoprocess plants (e.g. smokers, cooking, cooling and ripening plants) You make sure that our solutions are technically mature, ready to manufacture and economical You actively promote the standardization and modularization of our products You work closely with sales and application technology to realize customer-specific solutions You support the supply process with your technical expertise You accompany projects from idea to commissioning You work closely with production, purchasing and service You recognize trends and developments in mechanical engineering, automation and food technology You initiate and tax development projects You continuously optimize design processes, tools and systems You ensure compliance with all relevant standards and guidelines (e.g. machine policy, hygiene design, TA air and TA water) You are responsible for technical documentation and change management

Complete study in mechanical engineering, in process engineering, mechatronics, thermodynamics, flow teaching or comparable Multiannual experience in construction in special machine construction or plant construction – ideally in the field of food or process engineering Advanced knowledge of fluid mechanics, steam technology and refrigeration technology leadership experience and joy in developing a team Experience with 3D CAD systems (inventor) and complex systems Pleasure of sheet metal design and processing Know-how in modularization and standardization is a plus You lead clearly, appreciation and at eye level You think strategically and trade pragmatically at the same time You work structured and solution-oriented You are strong and binding You have fun improving things and driving innovation forward Knowledge of Hygienic Design and Food Processes Experience in international project business Very good knowledge of German and English
