As Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Area Manager:includes the elements that make our working environment as supportive and efficient as possible. You guide and attend a team of technical professionals to ensure that our devices work reliably. - Support of colleagues in compliance with the safety guidelines and procedures at the site

• Leadership, support and mentoring for your team to promote professional development A day in the life You work at one of our operating sites, provide practical guidance to your team and provide a clear overview of all activities at the site. This involves collecting data and solving problems in a dynamic environment. You will also set up an operating plan to make the location more productive and efficient. To do this, you will also introduce new projects that optimize everything from operating processes to equipment maintenance. In addition to security, the most important aspect of this role is the leadership of your team. This includes managing the performance and development of your team members as well as organizing additional training. Our maintenance and maintenance team (Reliability Maintenance Engineering Team or RME team) ensures that our devices and equipment work optimally at any time. We are a team of technicians:inside and engineer:inside, which consists of excellent team players and is led by experienced managers. We work together to maintain, repair and troubleshoot the devices in our entire global network of filling centers. Some of our employees are executives who supervise the team at work on exciting, innovative technology – which is partly only available at Amazon. From the installation of automated packaging systems to the supervision of the general maintenance work of a site, as well as the repair of equipment essential to the distribution, our team is developing a large number of technical tasks at Amazon. Among other things, it also ensures that buildings continue to comply with the legal requirements, so that everyone stays safe and our locations are operated with maximum efficiency. There are numerous opportunities to climb in the RME team as well as in the entire Amazon company. All our activities are designed to reduce the downtime at Amazon's most important operating locations so that customers receive their orders in time. We often work early in the morning, late in the evening or in the night shift to carry out maintenance work with the lowest possible disturbances. If we find a better way to do a specific task, we have the skills and opportunities to introduce completely new processes or groundbreaking technology such as Amazon Robotics or our Complex Item Varietor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Completion in a technical field

• Work experience in a maintenance team in areas of industry or production, where various complex processes take place

• Experience in the management of technical specialists

• experience in communication and relationship management with different stakeholders, including third parties

• Advanced knowledge of German and English in word and writing PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in handling legal regulations, such as compliance checks and safety protocols for machines

• Experience with automated devices, including packaging machines, sorting and conveying systems

• Experience in the use of data analysis tools and PLC-based control systems

• Experience with project management or with pit, lean or six-sigma processes

• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
