On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs, ZUG operates the PtX Lab Lausitz in Cottbus. The think-and-do tank develops the technical foundations for the market run of environmentally sound and sustainable production as well as the use of power-to-X (PtX) products. From the Lausitz, the Competence Center, with its now more than 50 employees, sets pioneering impulses for politics, business and society.

Referent*in (w/m/d) Communication – Full-time or part-time, EG 13 (TVöD Bund)

Your tasks

• You strengthen the communication team and design the concept, control, implementation and further development of external communication for the PtX Lab Lausitz together with your colleague.
• The accompanying production and publication of scientific and technical publications, from the conception to editorial processing and quality assurance to publication and communicative dissemination, is one of your tasks. These include studies, analyses, policy letters and opinions.
• You prepare complex scientific topics around the greenhouse gas-neutral industry, power-to-X technologies and sustainable mobility for different channels, formats and target groups (e.g. for website, social media, video, specialist publications, mailings) and work closely with the specialist teams and support them in the development, structuring and target group-oriented preparation of complex content.
• You develop the communication concepts, including target formulation, target groups, milestones, etc., and control dialogue and marketing measures to apply content positions, publications and events.
• You accompany communicative events of the PtX Lab Lausitz (e.g. specialist conferences, trade fair appearances, workshops and interactive formats) and plan budgets and take over the success and cost control of communication measures.
• The web pages provide editorial advice (CMS: Typo3), as well as other digital communication channels (e.g. LinkedIn, CleverReach newsletter tool) and strategically advises the specialist teams on communication issues relating to the PtX Lab Lausitz, as well as the taxation of external service providers (e.g. graphics or video agencies, photographers).

Your profile

• Completed scientific university studies (Master or University Diploma) in the field of journalism, marketing, media, humanities, social sciences or communication sciences or in a comparable degree course
• Multiannual relevant professional experience in the field of public relations, as well as in the management of complex projects with different stakeholders, as well as in-depth experience in editorial editing, development and publication of specialist publications (e.g. studies, policy letters, opinions or specialist papers).
• Very good mode of expression and the ability to prepare complex science-based facts in a comprehensible, precise and targeted manner
• Good knowledge of the communication conception and development of content strategies, as well as online affinity and experience in the online editorial (website, newsletter, LinkedIn, moving picture) and editorial CMS knowledge and knowledge in graphic and video tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva)
• Experience in dealing with public institutions and experience with digital and hybrid event formats
• Interest in the fields of climate protection, industrial transformation and structural change in the Lausitz as well as first experiences in these areas, very good knowledge of German and English and willingness to participate in occasional business trips
