At the national centre for the care of the blind and the visually impaired in Chemnitz there is a place at the next possible time

as an educational specialist (m/w/d)

in full time.

The Free State of Saxony is the carrier of the Landeszentrum for the care of the blind and the visually impaired. Our facility consists of mobile early promotion, health education daycare, full-day care (health) for students of the Landes-schule für Blinde and visually impaired and two residential homes.

We care for blind, visually impaired or multi-disabled, blind and visually impaired children and young people aged between 1 and 18.

Tasks:

• Activities in the area of the home for pupils of the national school for blind and visually impaired

• Care for children and young people aged 6 to 18

• medical education and health care planning, execution and evaluation of the care according to ICF-CY in compliance with care standards

• Basic and treatment services

• Teamwork with educators, parents, doctors, nurses and nurses and the specialist services of the rural centre, as well as the teachers of the Landesschule für Blinde and visually impaired

Requirements for your activity are:

(m/w/d) or healer education (m/w/d) or

(m/w/d)

(m/w/d), Ergotherapeut (m/w/d), Physiotherapeut (m/w/d), or

• Completion as a state-approved educator (m/w/d) Senior Consultant (m/w/d) readiness to acquire this additional qualification or

• Qualification in accordance with point 2.6.5 of the Administrative Regulation of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Youth and Family for the operation of facilities for children and young people with disabilities (VwVBeh).

Experience in the care and care of (multiple) disabled children and young people, in particular blind and visually impaired, is desirable and advantageous. Furthermore, a safe handling of relevant software programs of the MS Office package is desired.

As part of your activity, you are expected:

• a strong willingness to work in the team,

• a high level of sense of responsibility towards activity

• a high level of empathy towards children and young people

• a physical loadability corresponding to the tasks

• Ready for shiftwork

• willingness to continue training

• Class B driving licence.

Framework conditions:

• Remuneration takes place according to the pay order for the TV-L to the pay group S 8b (Pkt. 20 – employed in the social and educational service).

• The weekly working time is 40 hours from Sunday 6:00 to Friday 17:00 in the two-layer system with early and late layers.

• The holiday entitlement in the calendar year is 30 working days.

• A special annual payment and cash benefits are paid.

• An occupational pension provision is made.

• The use of a job ticket is possible.

• Working conditions aimed at the target group (personal keys, local aids, accessibility, generous spatial concept).

With the entry into force of the Masernschutzgesetz on 01.03.2020, active employees are obliged to vaccinate measles in daycare centres, homes and schools. The application shall be accompanied by proof of the receipt of the Masern vaccination.
