Identification and analysis of relevant funding programmes at regional, national and international level (e.g. EU, Confederation, Countries, Foundations) Design of the organisational support strategy in close coordination with science, administration and management Head of the central third-party funding agency to support funding applications and project management Advising scientists in the design and application of third-party funding projects Administration of complex joint projects and international consortia Support for the implementation of approved projects including monitoring, reporting and management Strengthening and maintaining strategic relationships with funding providers Development and maintenance of relevant networks at regional, national and international level Development of internal processes and structures in third-party management Leading coordination of the GSI's own research and development programme, monitoring performance calculations and design and organisation of reporting.

Complete university studies in the natural sciences, preferably in chemistry or physics (promotion desired) proven experience in identifying and managing research funding opportunities in Germany; additional qualifications, e.g. in conveying means management, are advantageous Experience in the development and implementation of funding strategies within research institutions Funded knowledge in the production of funding applications and in the management of research projects Experience in coordinating joint projects and international research consortia Ability to advise and support scientists over the entire application and project cycle Impressed organisational and communicative skills and the ability to interdisciplinary cooperation Experience in building strategic partnerships and networks with funding organisations and relevant actors in the research field Expressed analytical and strategic thinking Excellent oral and written expressiveness in German and English.
