Data Solutions Engineer (m/f/d)

You ensure the quality of our search solutions by developing and implementing test scenarios, evaluating the search quality and deriving concrete optimization measures to continuously improve the result quality (e.g. calibration of the ranking, evaluation of distance measurements). You develop our internal Java-based search engine, design and implement new functions and actively shape the technical roadmap. You optimize the performance of our systems, analyze and reduce resource consumption (CPU, Memory, Index), identify bottlenecks and implement efficient improvements – especially in the cloud environment. You compare and evaluate different search systems and identify their strengths, weaknesses and potentials. You support adjacent topics – in particular identification, data fusion and normalization – and work closely with technical and technical stakeholders and advises on search and identification solutions. You work data transmissions by preparing, investigating and evaluating data to improve processing processes, search algorithms and system parameters. You create technical documentation and contribute to the joint know-how building through active knowledge sharing in the team.

You have completed university studies in an IT, mathematical or statistical field You have relevant professional experience in data science and data analysis You have experience of implementation in Java and Python as well as knowledge in databases (relational and noSQL) You have good statistical knowledge and implementation experience in statistical programming (e.g. numpy, sklearn, SAS R) You bring experiences from the field of project management and the methods used there with You have a high sense of responsibility and a strong quality claim, as well as you are team-ready and an absolute data person.
