Head of EOIR Systems Engineering (m/f/d)

Discipline, technical and organizational management of the Systemengineering & Project management department for the interdisciplinary development of thermal imaging devices and camera solutions of all relevant spectral ranges for the platforms of the HENSOLDT Optronics Responsibility for the strategic orientation of the department, derived from the overarching corporate strategy Creating and defining budget, personnel and resource planning Identification and provision of necessary competences through the establishment of personnel and/or professional/personal further development of employees Ensuring the planning and implementation of commissioned development projects and services in the coordinated quality, time and cost framework Responsibility for successful cooperation with internal and external partners Acquisition support and development offerings Promoting innovation, intelligent hardware and software features and unique features and their implementation in competitive products Continuous improvement of development processes taking into account sustainable and synergetic approaches Creation of technology and product roadmaps within your own responsibility Promoting modularity, interoperability, standardisation and cross-departmental solutions Care of the products and modules in their own responsibility over the entire life cycle (including all software components) Construction and maintenance of an internal and external technology and competence network for imaging devices including active participation in scientific events, conferences, congresses etc.

Completed studies or natural sciences (physics, chemistry, mathematics) or a comparable technical engineering science, with doctoral degree Representative leadership and multiannual experience in the management of development and development Project teams Long-standing practical experience in Systems Engineering and Project Management Experience in the development of optronic devices and systems Good knowledge in the field of thermal imaging, optics, image processing/optimization as well as in the requirements for military products and systems Experience in using different development standards and methods as well as great interest in state-of-the-art system engineering approaches Extensive experience in the planning and control of complex development projects Extensive experience in supporting organizational and technological changes Conflictability and pronounced communication and organizational competence flexibility and initiative; very good communication and organization skills Safe, convincing and competent appearance Entrepreneurial thinking with a pronounced orientation German and English skills readiness to review the T2 security
