Type of employment: Limited Working time: Full time Place of work: Reutlingen Numerical simulation allows to analyze the behavior of complex mechanical systems, such as eBikes, under various conditions, by mathematically modeling the interactions between individual bodies and their movements. The realistic modelling of a driver and his steering and driving behavior on the eBike delivers exciting research questions. Your task involves measurements of forces and moments between man and bicycle. Using the measurement results, you develop a mathematical model that describes the interaction of man and bicycle. Based on the developed driver model, you simulate real eBike driving maneuvers. Your results help our hardware and software developers continuously improve our products.

Training: Excellent master's degree in mechanical engineering, computational engineering, vehicle engineering, physics or a comparable degree course. Experience and know-how: You bring very good knowledge in modelling and simulation of technical systems, as well as knowledge in multi-body simulation, Matlab and Simulink. You have already made first experiences in the design of controllers and in the execution of technical measurements. Knowledge of the driving dynamics of bicycles is advantageous. Personality and working methods: You are curious and have a high understanding, can work independently, independently and structured. In addition, you are team-ready. Working day: You work in an interdisciplinary team on an innovative and future-oriented project for Bosch eBike Systems. At your work, you will be supported by a network of experts in the fields of modeling, simulation, sensor technology, control technology and technical dynamics.
