You are awake during the night hours and care for safety, tranquility and a reliable setting. You are a contact person for mothers and children who need support, proximity or orientation at night. You accompany young mothers in night-care situations – for example in infants and young children – and strengthen them in their mother role. You are looking forward to crises, acute stress situations and emergencies and take further steps if necessary. You document special events carefully and ensure a good handover to the day team. You take nightly organizational tasks that enable a quiet start to the next day.

A completed educational course or a pedagogical study, for example as an educator:in, social education:in, in social work, medical education or a comparable qualification. Reliability and willingness to work regularly in the night service. Sensitivity in dealing with young mothers and children in difficult situations of life. Quietness, prudence and sense of responsibility – especially in challenging nightly situations.
