PALM is one of the leading companies in the European paper industry. We operate graphic papers, corrugated board raw paper and corrugated board packaging with 38 companies. Our raw material is 100% waste paper.

The Business Consultant is part of the Business Consulting Team of Palm IT and acts as an interface between departments, production sites and IT. The aim of the role is to record, optimize business processes and create measurable added value for the Palm Group through the use of IT solutions. Business consultants support the Business Process Owner (BPOs) and Key User in developing requirements, business blueprints, business cases and ROI calculations. Collection, analysis and documentation of technical requirements in close cooperation with BPOs and Key Usern Creation of specifications for IT and digitalization projects Development of Business Blueprints (process models, BPMN) Development and evaluation of business cases including ROI and TCO calculations Analysis, recording and optimization of end-to-end business processes (logistics, supply chain, sales) Accompanying the introduction of new processes and systems (Change management, training, communication measures) Close cooperation with project portfolio management and support in prioritizing projects Working in strategic initiatives of Palm IT (e.g. Enterprise Architecture Management, Business Process Management, IT-Governance) Travel activities: about 20–30 % (regular presence at production sites in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands and Switzerland)

You have a successfully completed degree in the field of business informatics, business management, engineering or a comparable qualification. Alternatively, you will bring a completed commercial or technical training and have further developed in the field of process and IT management. You have several years of professional experience in business consulting, requirements engineering, process management or in a comparable function. You have practical experience in creating business cases and in ROI and TCO calculations. Ideally, you bring knowledge into ERP/MES processes (e.g. SAP, Infor, Microsoft Dynamics). You are familiar with methods of process modelling (e.g. BPMN 2.0, ARIS, Signavio or comparable tools). Experience in cooperation with international sites is desirable. Their mode of operation is analytical, structured and solution-oriented. You convince with pronounced communication and moderation capabilities, especially in workshops, interviews and presentations. You have knowledge of requirements engineering methods and classic and agile project management. Basic knowledge of ITIL, COBIT or comparable frameworks are advantageous.
