EHS Specialist / Occupational Safety Specialist, MEU AMZL WHS Team (m/w/d)

In this function, you are proactive for the safety and health of all employees: inside your location, give them confidence and motivate them to top performances. You can do something for them every day.

Key job responsibilities

• Monitoring site performance based on defined KPIs and drawing up plans to improve processes
• Development of occupational safety and training programmes
• evaluation of safety indicators and trends in incidents; Support of employees:internal resource planning for risk areas
• Examinations for compliance with the health rules and implementation of solutions when risks are identified

A day in the life You work locally at one of our logistics locations. That's where you're taking the processes. You monitor compliance with the occupational health rules and identify possible problems and opportunities for improvements. You work with employees: within the entire business area and get to know their risks. You collect data to implement smarter and safer working methods. You will also develop training and other programs in which employees learn new security processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in accordance with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF)
• Certification as a “work safety specialist”
• Understanding German Environmental and Industrial Protection Acts
• Advanced German and English skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with Lean, 5S or Kaizen methods
• ability to plan or manage environmental initiatives

About the team Amazon Logistik (AMZL) is responsible for delivering millions of products from our customers directly to the doorstep. The “Last-Mile Logistics” delivers our packages in partnership with third-party providers and implements numerous initiatives for continuous improvement to satisfy millions of customers. Our goal is to make the delivery experience for our customers as smooth as possible and to introduce global delivery solutions for our latest offers, including Amazon Fresh, Prime Now and Amazon restaurants. Our work can be divided into two divisions. “Under the Roof” covers everything that happens within our logistics locations and “On the Road” covers everything that happens in the delivery areas on the road. Our employees prepare the packages in appropriate layers (night, early, late) for daily shipping to our delivery teams and take care of returns that could not be delivered. Every year we set new standards in terms of customer experience and offer new, innovative delivery services. We are looking for new ways to overcome industry-wide logistics challenges, as well as new ideas to reduce our carbon footprint.
