Working Student OP / Hook Holder (m/f/d)

You study medicine, e.g. at the University of Freiburg, or another study program with medical reference and want to sniff real surgical air?

We are looking for you as a student assistant OP / hook holder (m/w/d) in parttime (20%).

In our clinic you can work on the surgical table, get insights into surgical procedures and deepen your anatomical knowledge. As part of a meaningful and well-planable secondary job, you will gain valuable practical experiences for your later career! We carry out predominantly planned interventions and offer a well-structured, learning-oriented OP environment.

You support the OP team as a second assistant and act as a “hook holder” by keeping tissue and skin with suitable instruments during operation to give the surgical team free visibility and secure access to the surgical area In the case of storage and relocation of the patients in the surgery room, You also work with You support the preparation and follow-up of the interventions (e.g. the preparation of the OP table, simple activities by instruction) You contribute to order, hygiene and smooth operation in the OP team

No fears of contact with blood, surgery situations, odours and prepared tissues – ideally by prep course, pathology, etc. Reliability, Responsibility and Teamability Willingness to work in OPs, hygiene rules and cooperation in the interprofessional team
