Nautical Manager (all gender)

You take over the leadership and strategic orientation of the Nautik, Safety and Security departments within TUI Cruises GmbH First contact:in nautical topics, you represent the areas of nautical, safety and security internally and at the interface to our partner Global Marine Operations (Celebrity Cruises) You actively participate in the further development of the nautical management staff (staff captains, security officers) – especially in terms of product and guest topics You are responsible for the deployment planning, selection and assessment of nautical management personnel on board You agree closely with external ship managers and service providers on nautical issues, initiate service evaluations and advance process optimization You coordinate the care and continuous development of our quality management system (SMS) and take over the preparation and preparation of quality audits As a single point of contact, you support the areas of driving planning, new construction, customer service, charter & incentives and hotel operations in all nautical topics You accompany the evaluation of new ports and target areas and are responsible for training for nautical officers on board You enter and support Nautische Officerwärter (NOA), including selection, deployment planning and mentoring, and cooperate with universities in the field of nautics (lectures, graduations) You perform conceptual tasks as part of fleet growth and fleet harmonisation In addition, you develop with us as an incident commander and are a member of the crisis team in the event of dangers on board the fleet

A completed study of Nautics or a comparable qualification Several years of professional experience in the shipping industry, ideally as a staff captain or in a comparable position on passenger ships Funded knowledge of shipping law, the roles of port and flag state as well as international guidelines (ISM / ISO / STCW / MLC / SOLAS / ISPS / USPH) Experience in risk management and crisis management as well as in the implementation of inspections and audits Enthusiasm for the further development and promotion of nautical young people Outstanding leadership competence, communication strength and high social competence A high level of commitment, flexibility and sense of responsibility as well as a structured, solution-oriented approach Safe handling of presentation and office software Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing Experience in the area of new construction and docking of ships readiness to travel and occasional missions on board
