About our Center for Anaesthesia (ZAINS) With over 80 doctors, the Center for Anesthesia is the largest specialist department in the association of SLK clinics. We work as a center across the site in the Klinikum am Gesundbrunnen in Heilbronn, Klinikum am Plattewald in Bad Friedrichshall and in the Fachklinik Löwenstein. The SLK specialist clinic Löwenstein with the departments of thorax and vascular surgery, pneumology and intensive medicine, oncology as well as three centers (lung cancer center, weaning center, dormitory center) stands for the most modern medicine in the field of lung diseases. There is also a specialist department for multimodal and interventional pain therapy. In three operating rooms and endoscopy about 2,300 narcoses are carried out annually. With the use of state-of-the-art medical technology, we ensure a safe and successful anaesthesia even with the most demanding interventions. During the operation, the focus is on the induction breathing via double-lumen tubus, often combined with back-marking or peripheral regional anaesthesia. In the case of special interventions in the air tube, the high frequency jet ventilation is also used.
