In the PtX Lab Lausitz – practical laboratory for green hydrogen fuels and raw materials, you work on current and future-oriented topics on CO2 reduction in the field of tension between innovative technology, political framework conditions and social dialogue. Our goal: We want to create foundations for sustainable, environmentally friendly production and use of PtX products and to promote their fast and successful market upheaval. To support the PtX Mobility team, we are looking for a Experte*in (w/m/d) Aviation Industry and Policy – Full-time or part-time, EG 13 (TVöD Bund) The future – the environment – society (ZUG) gGmbH, a federal promoter, operates the PtX Lab Lausitz, which was founded in 2021 on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and is now a firmly established actor in the region. The PtX Lab Lausitz is a knowledge platform, impulse provider and contact person for industry, politics and science on the way to greenhouse gas neutrality by coupling the electricity sector with transport and industrial sectors (PtX) – more at https://ptxlablausitz.de/.

You analyze the current state of science, industry and technology in connection with the introduction of sustainable electro-based airborne fuels (e-SAF) and provide insights into policy and practice. You are advising regulatory and political frameworks to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the transport sector, with a special focus on air transport and cross-sector maritime links. You develop innovative, interdisciplinary political solutions for mobility that combine technological, regulatory and market-based approaches. You advise the German Federal Government as well as other political decision-makers on technical and technical issues. You build the network of the PtX Lab with relevant actors from industry, science and politics at national, European and international level and continually strengthen it. You communicate results effectively by creating articles, policy papers and other publications, presenting key insights at conferences, designing and conducting workshops, webinars and other specialist events.

Complete university degree (master, diploma or equivalent degree) in aviation management, mobility and transport systems, business management, engineering or comparable degree multiannual relevant professional experience in the aviation industry, policy or research A strong interest in environmental and climate protection issues in the transport sector, particularly at the intersection of technology, business and politics Very good English knowledge in word and writing as well as proven German knowledge at least at level B2 Quality and solution-oriented, independent working combined with joy in team work and cooperation readiness for occasional travel in Germany and abroad
