IT Architect E-Mail Communications (m/w/d)

As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With over 7,700 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. IT-Architekt E-Mail Communications (m/w/d) from now on and in full time, nationwide at one of our BWI locations. Shared Service Delivery (SSD) is responsible for service design, service development and provision of all end-user, data centers & cloud infrastructure as well as BWI service communication services. It provides predominantly standardized service solutions for customers. Shared service delivery is an integral part of the CDO and is therefore crucially responsible for the common objectives and measures. Our incentive is maximum operational stability and high customer satisfaction. Point of Delivery 2 is responsible for the development and integration of IT services in the sense of “Ready for Service” and ensures the development of functional, accessible, reusable services in accordance with BWI’s portfolio strategy.

Co-responsibility for planning, design, implementation and continuous development of solutions architectures for the e-mail communication service Analysis of the architectural requirements of our customers as well as ensuring an integrated architectural design with a focus on service quality and operability Creation of technical specifications and documentation, including IT security and architecture concepts Control and coordination of releases taking into account change and configuration management Accompanying the entire service lifecycles including maintenance, care, optimization and problem management

Successfully completed studies with IT cover and 2 years - or comparable training with about 5 years of relevant professional experience Very good knowledge of MS Exchange and MS Outlook (from 2016); ideally also in other email platforms Found experience in the specification, design, development and modelling of IT architectures Good knowledge of MS Active Directory, Backup & Recovery, MS Windows Server and MS Office 365; ITIL Food Certification desirable Embossed analytical thinking capacity, high communication capability, team capacity, empathy as well as a clear target orientation German language skills in word and writing
