You are responsible for the availability, further development and the life cycle of the iCAS hardware platform (servers and workstations) and editing error messages and change requirements. You analyze system and product data for selecting, qualifying and developing server and workstation platforms. You are investigating error messages from the operation of iCAS systems, performing tests and documenting the results. You create and provide technical configurations for the Linux hardware platforms, e.g. BIOS/UEFI configurations as well as BIOS, firmware and driver updates, and accompany their test, release and introduction. You plan, specify, qualify and implement hardware renewals as well as initial equipment. In doing so, you set up requirement documents for tenders and offer requirements, evaluate offers, coordinate suppliers, carry out technical acceptances and accompany rollout projects. You will create cost, budget and resource planning, conduct economic analysis and develop sustainable concepts.

You have a degree in computer science, information technology, electrical engineering or a comparable technical or scientific discipline. You bring many years of professional experience in the environment of IT infrastructures as well as sound knowledge in Linux-based server and workstation platforms. You have well-founded knowledge in Linux-based server and workstation platforms as well as their configuration and operation. These include, in particular, BIOS/UEFI configurations, system management and OBM technologies as well as firmware and hardware lifecycle management. You have knowledge of shell scripting and basic programming experience (e.g. C, C++ or Python). You have experience in planning and implementing technical projects as well as knowledge in quality, configuration and operational management processes.
