Cooking with children

The school farm Tannenhof is an extracurricular place of learning and a class destination. The children work in three groups in the farm with instructions. The housekeeping group provides breakfast, dinner and baked in the afternoon under the guidance of participants in the volunteer social year. In the morning, the household farmer starts the small group while cooking lunch together. The menu is based on what is produced in the farm and in the vegetable garden and in which preparation the children can cooperate in a sensible way. The menu is created together with the operating management. The housekeeper is also responsible for food orders from the supplier, for the instant maintenance and cleaning of the kitchens, the storage and cleaning room and the kitchen utensils. Activities such as jam or meat broth cook, cook, cook or freeze vegetables and fruit. In addition, the housekeeper is working on volunteers to prepare breakfast with the children and initiates them with supporting activities in cooking with the children. The working days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, occasionally also Saturday or Sunday.
