Application Programming in the Geoinformation Service, Rostock (m/f/d)

You develop new data processing methods (DV procedures) as well as existing DV procedures in the field of internal electronic information systems of the Bundeswehr Geoinformation Service in the Navy. You develop procedures for the integration of maritime data into IT systems and implement them in network-based operations. You plan, develop and optimize maritime databases. You are responsible for the operational readiness of oceanographic forecasting models. You plan and implement DV procedures for the sub-department, including the determination of the overall sequence and the data flows. You conduct analyses and consistency checks and develop evaluation methods for maritime databases. The willingness to regular (also multi-day) missions and lecture activities is assumed. Participation in regular and ongoing training and training is expected.

You have a degree (Bachelor, University of Applied Sciences or comparable) in the geoscientific field or an IT-related field. You have a full-time job of at least one year and six months in one of the above-mentioned areas for the purpose of beaming. You have experience in the application of a geographic information system (GIS), preferably in the ESRI product family. You have knowledge of network architectures, network protocols and IT infrastructures. Additional information Comments The planned date of occupation mentioned or the date mentioned for the 'starting of activity' is an appointment which may change due to the expiry of the tendering procedure. The appointment or takeover into an official's relationship is in principle carried out at the entrance office of the career of the high scientific service or of the high technical administrative service. The attitude in a higher entrance office depends on the fulfilment of runway requirements and your professional experience. The grouping takes place in accordance with § 12 TVöD with regard to the activities actually not only to be carried out temporarily and the fulfilment of the personal or collective requirements.
