The SOS Children's Village Schleswig-Holstein in Lütjenburg, in a scenic location near the Baltic Sea, is an institution of child and youth assistance with children's village families, various housing groups, outpatient flexible help, school social work, a public kita, a family center and the children's and youth center 'KOM,MA'' with media workshop and environmental project.

At the SOS Children's Village Schleswig-Holstein we are looking for a School Social Work ''Schools at the Hufenweg in Preetz'' in parttime (18 hours/Where)

Do you want to accompany and strengthen children and young people in their individual, social and school development? You like to work multi-professional, develop projects and actively introduce your ideas? Then you will become part of our dedicated team of currently 35 school social workers and together with us create a school-friendly learning and living world.

Your tasks include: You accompany and promote students in their individual, social and school development and help them discover their own strengths You advise and support students, parents, school leaders and teachers in educational questions and in child and youth protection – always with empathy, respect and professional care You help create a student-friendly, value-adding learning and living environment in which all participants feel comfortable You plan, initiate and carry out preventive projects, group offers and training to sustainably strengthen the social and communicative skills of the students You work closely with school management, teachers and other professionals and actively contribute their expertise and personal experience You are networked with other institutions and departments to provide support to students if necessary You implement child and care protection responsibly and conscientiously

completed studies of social education or social work or a comparable qualification Experience in school social work and/or in advisory activities with children, young people and their families Joy and competence in cooperation with school management, teachers, parents and departments Experience in the initiation and implementation of social pedagogical group offers, in particular in the preventive field Enthusiasm for project-related work and active collaboration in team and concept development commitment, reliability and a strong sense of responsibility for the well-being of young people Sensitivity, empathy and a professional balance between proximity and distance to the supervised persons
