Together for excellence. What are we doing? Everyone speaks of digitalization, for us it is long lived everyday life. In the Digital Engineering department of the Mercedes-Benz start-up factory, we already secure the construction of all new Mercedes-Benz vehicles in the digital phase. We are entering the development process early on and support the concept development on the basis of experience from previous series as well as defined concept standards, and that long before the first hardware is created. The Digital Mock-Up team supports the development of prototypes with a focus on the digital development phases. In addition, the team is responsible for the optimization and further development of processes and methods as well as the introduction and implementation of the latest digital technologies in the start-up factory. These challenges come to you, among other things: Research on the state of the art with regard to current teaching and training concepts Support for the conversion of hardware-learning activities to digital concepts Analysis of the influence of digital concepts on the communication and information base of relevant stakeholders in the project (Objective: early transparency and support in decisions, for example in supplier management or vehicle construction) Creation of application examples in the Zeiss software Design and development of communication documents and communication processes Task tracking for digitization initiatives and working groups The activity can begin from November 2026.
