The Department of Visual Computing at Fraunhofer IGD deals with the visualization of existential data and the processing of images for the detection and documentation of new insights in different fields of application. The team for interactive visualization is mainly researching new application-oriented methods in the fields of information visualization, visual analytics, 3D point cloud processing and VR learning worlds. As part of this, we are looking for a specialist informatics for application development to design and implement interactive user interfaces for illustrating complex data.

What you do with us

  • Support for the development of interactive user areas
  • Work on projects to visualize data in two-dimensional and three-dimensional space

  • A completed training as a specialist in application development
  • Basic programming knowledge (preferably C#) from implemented projects (examples desired)
  • Basic knowledge of how to use the Unity Engine (especially when developing user interfaces with UXML and USS)
  • Practical experience with agile project processes (Scrum) as well as in the preparation and execution of test cases
  • Experience with the evaluation of recorded data streams (in particular sonar data) is desirable
  • Practical experience in handling hardware (especially mobile devices) is desirable
  • Careful, structured and independent work

  • Good English knowledge of word and writing
