The biolitec research, a subsidiary of the biolitec group, is a driving force in the field of applied laser medicine with its own diode laser and optical fiber development. Medical laser production as well as the entire value-added process for fiber production are carried out in-house in our group of companies. Construction, maintenance and strategic development of the biolitec Group's patent portfolio with focus on fiber lasers, optics and medical technology Control of the invention message process: detection, evaluation and follow-up of invention messages from the development teams Assessment of patentability and the technical and economic relevance of new inventions in close coordination with R&E, management and sales Implementation and evaluation of research: state of the art, freedom-to-operate (FTO) and patent infringement and competition analyses Observation of the third-party competitive and protective legal environment and deriving strategic recommendations Participation in the patent strategy and its interconnection with the product and development roadmap Close cooperation with the group's international sites (including India, China, Latvia) Participation in a cross-border IP team with direct reporting line to the head of the IP department and management

Complete technical-nature studies (e.g. physics/photonics, optics) or comparable qualification Mind. 3 years of relevant professional experience with specialist focus in the field of fiber lasers and/or optics (preparation) Mind. 1 year of experience in IP management/protection law, in particular in dealing with invention messages (preparation) Experience in medical technology desirable (min. 1 year of advantage) Knowledge of patent and employee inventor law (ArbnErfG) and safe handling of patent research databases Ideally additional qualification in the IP area (e.g. patent recipient, patent engineer) Impressed analytical thinking and the ability to combine technical and legal issues Structured, independent and solution-oriented mode of operation with hands-on mentality Intercultural competence and experience in cooperation with international, multicultural teams German and English knowledge in word and writing readiness to travel
