Technical Manager (m/w/d) with short-term perspective

Our long-term customer is part of a family-run and medium-sized group of companies and as such an independent, very successful business unit in the field of high-quality technical, durable consumer goods based in the southern Greater Stuttgart. As a very innovative market leader (some design prices), the company generates sales in the mid-double-digit million € area with its very dedicated employees – combined with high growth potential. As part of a classic succession scheme (family-related move of the job owner), we are looking for you as a technical manager (m/w/d) who is personally and professionally very convincing and is to take over the technical management in the short term.

In this function, you assume the overall responsibility for the technical departments – work preparation, project planning, CAD/CAM, quality management and technical customer service – and ensure a long-term high performance quality through efficient processes and clear structures. Your goal is to contribute to the company's operational excellence through the timely technical order processing in your departments. A central focus is on the control and further development of quality management. You provide a consistently high level of quality, reduce rework and complaints and increase the “First Time Right” quota. In addition, you actively drive digitalization in the technical field to the connection to the machines. Another focus of your activity is the initiation and control of lean projects. This will make you a decisive contribution to quality improvement, process optimization and shortening of transit times.

As a “technical entrepreneur in the company” you have a technical training (ideally with business training) or a study in the field of mechanical engineering, manufacturing technology or industrial engineering as well as several years of experience in the management of technical departments of a manufacturing company in the middle class. Experience in lean management, quality management and process optimization are just as necessary as a strong understanding of digitalization in the production environment. A structured, solution-oriented operation, communication strength and leadership qualities complete your profile.
