Test System Engineer Electronics Production (m/f/d)

As a test system engineer, you are responsible for the development, implementation and support of test systems for electronic assemblies and devices. You ensure that our test systems are used stable, efficient and cost-optimized in production and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing processes.

Test software, Test IT & Automation Development and implementation of test software for different test equipment, assemblies and systems. Determination, maintenance and optimization of automated testing procedures and ensuring stable, reproducible and meaningful test results. Stabilization and availability improvement of the test IT, in particular in the database environment (e.g. MS-SQL) for test equipment (analysis of availability problems, initiation of short-term optimizations). Construction and maintenance of sandbox/test environments for test software (e.g. via GitLab Runner) for reproducible validation of changes. Production support & operation (incl. infrastructure/virtualization) Start-up of test machines with the aim of an First‐Pass‐Yield (FPY) > 98 % for good equipment. Transfer of test systems to production including acceptance and training of production staff. support, analysis and continuous optimization of existing test systems; Preparation of evaluations, analyses and technical reports.

Documentation, Audit & Quality Creation and maintenance of the complete test system documentation (piece lists, drawings, construction, test sequences). Revision-proof storage in version management systems (e.g. SVN/Git). Active cooperation in the continuous improvement process to increase quality, stability and cost efficiency. Ensuring the unambiguous auditability of software and hardware stands (versions, baselines, release certificates, change logs) in coordination with internal controllers.

Complete training for technicians or studies in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics or comparable qualifications. Experience in the environment of test and test systems and good understanding of electronics/hardware development. Knowledge of the development or application of test software (manufacturer-specific languages, Python, C#). Very good technical understanding and analytical and structured working methods. Embossed software engineering expertise in test engineering (clean code structure, wartability, debugging, version control). Practice in the analysis and elimination of availability/performance problems in the environment of MS‐SQL databases (monitoring/error analysis, derivation and implementation of short-term optimizations). Basic understanding of system/VM operation (e.g. resource management such as RAM/Storage, system updates, VM optimization) and ability to professionally drive or implement optimization measures with IT/Infra. Experience with CI/CD near test setups or the establishment of reproducible test environments (e.g. via GitLab Runner, Sandbox/Test-Machine approaches) Ensure auditability: Ability to document software/hardware levels unambiguously (versions/baselines/releases) and ensure compliance-compliant storage.
