Then you're right with us! We are looking for dual students (m/w/d) of the General Industrial Engineering Department – Focus on Digital Transformation as of 01.10.2026 for the Wiesbaden site. You complete your theoretical phase at the dual Baden-Württemberg University (DHBW) at the Mannheim site. During your studies, you will acquire a broad foundation of technical and business principles and learn how to combine economic decisions with technical understanding and digital know-how. The study combines engineering-scientific content such as manufacturing technology, construction and quality assurance with business topics such as finance and accounting, material management, controlling, project management and digitalization of processes. In the practical phase you work at Dyckerhoff in various works and departments and gain valuable insights into technical, economic and organizational processes. In doing so, you apply the learned theoretical content to your daily work and become a real all-rounder in your profession. The course lasts 3 years (6 semesters).

You will learn about the production process of cement and concrete production and understand how technical and economic control goes hand in hand. We introduce you to modern software solutions and give you an understanding of the ongoing digitalization of operational processes. You will actively participate in initiatives to reduce CO2 footprint and to continuously optimize the process. You will get a comprehensive insight into project management, including planning, monitoring and managing projects. You work closely with colleagues from technology, purchasing, controlling, production and sales to understand interfaces and optimize processes. In our workshop you will learn basic skills in metalworking (turning, milling, drilling, welding etc.). Your dual study will be varied as you will have the opportunity to work in different departments as well as locations across Germany or across Europe. You will be accompanied and supported by fixed mentors who help you with questions and your personal development.

You have a good general or professional school degree and good school performance, especially in mathematics, physics and business/BWL. You are passionate about both technical processes, digital technologies and economic relationships. You are a team player that can work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, but also has the ability to independently walk new paths to develop innovative solutions. You are characterized by your own initiative, resilience and reliability. You like to take responsibility and drive projects forward independently. And of course, concentrated work and a high motivation is an absolute must-have. You are open and will be happy to connect both within the team and across departments to exchange information and use synergies.
