We are looking for you for the City Combating of the Landeshauptstadt Stuttgart. The place shall be occupied without delay.

The City Combat is centrally responsible for managing the finances of the state capital. These include budget and financial planning, financial and accounting as well as city-wide financial management functions. The new city-wide task “Sustainable Budget Control” is also set up here.

A job that enthuses you

• You develop concepts and principles for sustainable budget management, strategic investment planning and economic consideration of the tasks of the state capital Stuttgart
• the optimization of the work on the budget and regular evaluations together with all offices and departments are one of your tasks
• They also coordinate the content and conception of ad-hoc analyses, as well as calculations and reports to prepare important decisions of the unit and the municipal council
• analyse and improve strategic instruments for performance, revenue and cost planning, as well as reporting

Your profile that suits us

• a successfully completed study in the field of Business Administration, Economics, Financial Economics or Economics, with a focus on accounting, controlling or comparable profiles
• alternatively a degree as Bachelor of Arts Public Management or Diplom-administrator/in, administrative specialist or a comparable qualification as far as possible with experience in financial management or controlling or cost accounting in the public sector
• Knowledge in local budgetary and economic law as well as experience with all major MS Office programs and with SAP ERP (DZ-Kommunalmaster Finanz-Doppik) are advantageous
• very good expression and in-depth experience in creating presentations
• necessary is cost awareness, analytical and conceptual thinking, negotiation skills and self-initiative
