The Bodelschwingh House offers homeless people with “special social difficulties” accommodation, advice and accompaniment. We mainly support men and with a small proportion also transpeople. The basis of our aids are the paragraphs §§ 67 to 69 in SGB XII. The Bodelschwingh House has 45 seats in the house and 25 decentralised residential areas. In addition, follow-up aids and housing management also belong to our support offer. Take responsibility for consulting and monitoring housing-seeking households. These are individuals, couples or families. Complete support and control of the aid process. You work together with the housing-seeking people, the public authorities, the housing industry as well as consultancy offices and other institutions. Your cooperation extends to one or more of our program lines of homeless assistance, with changing time shares in the course of time Impulse and reflection for the development of personal perspectives. Support for individual legal action Help planning with users and the cost carrier Cross-sector participation in projects and working groups Work in different teams with great design space

You are a social pedagogue or a deacon (w/m/d) or have a comparable qualification You have competences and experiences with precarious situations, especially in the participatory and educational support of housingless people You work systematically and share-oriented, understand your work in a social context and have solid knowledge of social protection, especially SGB II and XII. Experiences with apartment rentals are helpful You understand yourself as a representative of the users and can reflect the requirements for a stable housing situation You have a friendly, binding appearance and interest in your neighbour You respect the Christian values and the ecclesial embossment of the institution of Hamburg as part of the exercise of the activity You ideally have a car driving licence and driving practice
