The Corporate Research and Technology Division focuses on innovations and technologies of the future and explores new, undiscovered ways.

Your responsibility lies in the creation and maintenance of an extensive scientific software with a special focus on physics and technology for the simulation and interpretation of optical systems.

It is necessary to develop efficient analysis, evaluation and optimization algorithms including user interface or to transfer them from other areas to questions of optics.

Planning and conducting studies and projects in the field of software for simulation and optics design.

In an interdisciplinary agile team, they also have direct contact with the internal users of the software.

With current methods and tools software solutions are implemented at the current state of the art.

A completed study of physics, mathematics or a similar subject, ideally with doctoral or first professional experience, is assumed.

A targeted and independent way of working, characterised by rapid understanding and creativity, is expected.

Knowledge of Python and compiling high languages such as C++ are desirable.

For this position, reliable knowledge of numerical methods is required, ideally also in geometric and physical optics.

Experiences in the development and design of extensive software are advantageous.

Very good communication skills in German and English, both in writing and oral, are required.
