Senior RPG Developer (m/w/d)

Further development & modernization: In your role as a developer, you work significantly on the further development and modernization of our existing RPG applications on the IBM i platform. Experience: You bring up your multiannual experience with RPG IV / Free RPG (ILE RPG), you know well with CL, SQL, DB2 and, if necessary, DDS and are familiar with modular programming as well as ILE concepts such as modules, service programs and activation groups. Integration: You are responsible for the integration of IBM i with other systems, including web services, FTP, XML, JSON or REST/SOAP APIs. Analysis: You analyze errors, optimize performance and make sure our applications remain stable and sustainable.

Best condition: You have sound knowledge in the IBM i (AS/400) system environment. Practical experience: Your many years of experience in the modernization of RPG applications, e.g. through modularization or interface integration, create added value for us. Working: You have a self-responsible and structured way of working. Skills: Your distinct analytical skills and high problem-solving skills are yours. Team Player: You are team-ready and convince by your good and open communication. Continuing education: You love working on new technologies and topics. Own initiative: New ideas are taken up by their own initiative and introduced into the team rounds. Quality: You have a high quality awareness and an eye for detail. Language skills: Your good knowledge of German in word and writing as well as knowledge of English for technical documentation complete your profile. Desirable, but no need: RDI: Ideally, you already have experience with RDi (Rational Developer for i) or similar development environments. Agile's work: You may also bring knowledge of agile work (Scrum, Kanban) and modern software design. Web-Tech: You have basic knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript or REST. DevOps: You have first experience with DevOps tools, ideally made from the Microsoft environment. IT security and data protection: You also know about IT security and data protection. Project management: You already have know-how in project management or in technical responsibility. Wholesale: Your understanding of wholesale operations, especially in logistics, is a plus point.
