Specialty Credit Mid Term - Credit Underwriter (m/f/d)

Credit Underwriting: Analyze and Verify Corporate & Trade Finance, Structured Credit and Sovereign Risk Transactions in compliance with Allianz Trade CPRI Line of Business Risk assessment: You carry out sound sectoral, financial and legal risk analyses, using internal and external credit expertise, with a special focus on emerging markets Decision-making: You examine public and private debtors for short- and medium-term commitments, make independent decisions within your powers or escalate complex cases as needed Governance: You make sure that Allianz Trade's credit framework and audit principles are strictly adhered to Commercial support: You work closely with commercial underwriters to develop a global portfolio of government and private debtors, focusing on export and commercial financing, and project financing Market commitment: You represent Allianz Trade at conferences, supports customer talks and delivers relevant market analyses Portfolio Management: You monitor and manage the existing portfolio, anticipate risk mitigation measures, process waiver requests and contribute to regular credit reviews Strategic growth: You build long-term and profitable growth in the region and ensure the highest quality and reliability of the credit testing process

That's what you bring:

Education: You have completed a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related area that provides you with a solid basis for credit assessment and risk management Professional experience: You bring experience in credit insurance, banking, multilateral institutions and/or export credit agencies (ECAs), ideally related to credit assessment, risk management or financial analysis Knowledge: You have knowledge of the credit insurance industry, including its products, regulations and market dynamics, as well as a solid understanding of the political risk markets and the banking sector Analytical skills: You are experienced in business analysis techniques, financial assessment and risk assessment and can effectively analyze both private and state risks Communication strength: You can communicate clearly and convincingly across all media and at all levels of organisation, especially in a multicultural and dynamic environment Stakeholder Management: You convince stakeholders through the presentation of ideas and analyses, create consensus and drive decision-making Language skills: You master German and English fluently in word and writing and can work together effectively in various teams AI Readiness: Curiosity and experience in the application of ChatGPT, generic AI and ethical AI solutions is also beneficial
