They are responsible for the cell culture laboratory and are responsible for the establishment and maintenance of standardized cell-biological workflows. Your tasks include the acceptance, processing, storage and disposal of test samples and biomaterials as well as general laboratory activities such as disinfection and solution preparation. In the field of molecular biological analysis, you conduct processes such as transfection, RNA/DNA extraction, Western blot, qPCR and digital PCR. They take over the preparation, implementation, evaluation and documentation of laboratory chemical analyses and ensure compliance with high standards through quality control measures. A focus of your activity is on the microbial DNA/RNA analysis from various materials (e.g. chair, tissue, smears). They prepare libraries for 16S rRNA analyses and Shotgun metrology and perform sequencing with the PacBio-Vega platform. Data evaluation is carried out in close cooperation with bioinformatics. In the field of protein analysis, you work with the Olink® platform based on PEA technology. Prepare samples according to SOPs, perform assays, document the results and evaluate the data using tools such as the NPX Software Manager. The close coordination with the scientific team completes your profile. In addition, you will introduce your expertise to the development of new methods, in particular in the field of experimental mass spectrometry and the application of LC-MS/MS technology in scientific projects
