Product Manager Flexibilities (m/f/d)

Stuttgart wants to become climate neutral in 2035. The Stadtwerke Stuttgart-Group plays a leading role in this goal. As a motor for the energy transition, the Stadtwerke Stuttgart intends to reduce CO2 emissions up to a quarter of the Stuttgarter and thus make the largest individual contribution. We focus on everything the energy transition has to offer: green electricity from solar and wind energy, heat from renewable sources and services related to energy efficiency. We remain technology-open and test innovations such as hydrogen. We are leading the development of charging infrastructure. The energy transition does not go without network infrastructure: The Stuttgart network is also part of the Stadtwerke Group as a network operator. More than 900 employees currently work for the entire Stadtwerke Group.

In 2025 we started the Großspeicher & Flexibilities business segment. We are looking for reinforcement to expand this dynamic business area.

Assessment of market potentials & risks: You evaluate the opportunities and risks of various flexibility sets (large storage, charging infrastructure, etc.) in wholesale and regular energy marketing Development of business models: You design, refine and scale business models for flexibility and large-scale storage and check them on market maturity and operational feasibility Control of flexibility marketers: You analyze and optimize the marketing of our flexibility on different platforms Technical connection: You are responsible for the connection to internal and external technical systems for the marketing of Flexibility Assets Forecast optimization: You are responsible for optimising forecasts for flexibility marketing Market observation and legal framework: You have at any time the legal framework of your business and other market participants in order to respond quickly to changes and trends Cross-functional cooperation: You work with other specialist departments to jointly develop know-how and share best practices

Knowledge of energy markets: In your previous activities, you have already gained first experience with the functioning of the European energy market and the influence of flexible assets on them. Experience in development or evaluation business models: You have already been able to participate in the development of business models in your previous activities or have been responsible for the valuation of business models on the investor side Strong analytical capabilities in new market: You will quickly find yourself in a new market and can draw the right conclusions for your product from the various circumstances Knowledge of regulatory frameworks: You have a well-founded knowledge of regulatory framework conditions (e.g. electricity market 2.0, balance sheet management, network charges). Agile way of thinking: You come well with a rapidly changing environment and can make independent decisions in your area Passion for the energy transition: You want to drive the energy transition and contribute to achieving climate neutrality as part of an innovative urban work
