With these activities you contribute to a safe, sustainable and responsible development of areas and habitats in Mönchengladbach: Project management – You are responsible for old-load projects independently from the risk assessment to the rehabilitation and take over the role as client and special ordering authority. Technical assessment – You are reviewing and evaluating expert reports, investigation reports, risk assessments as well as refurbishment concepts and control external review offices in investigation, monitoring and refurbishment measures. Data management – You capture, maintain, quality-proof and evaluate soil protection-relevant data, develop the groundwater database and maintain georeferenced data. Digitization & GIS – You create spatial analyses with GIS and work on digitization projects and the introduction of new specialist software. Funding & Reporting – You support funding projects including application, administration and billing of funds and create expert reports, opinions, presentations and decision-making templates. Readiness to call Environment – Your activity will involve participation in our readiness to call in accordance with the NRW environmental alarm directive.

Completed scientific higher education (Diplom/Magister/Master) of the disciplines Geosciences, Geoecology, Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering or a comparable subject with subject-related content multiannual professional experience in the field of waste, soil protection and groundwater protection In addition, preferably bring: Analytical thinking and solution-oriented functioning as well as the ability to detect and implement optimization potentials Performance and responsibility in relation to the area of responsibility Confidential and respectful handling of teammates as well as reliable written and oral expressiveness for safe occurrence in exchange with authorities, citizens and companies well-founded knowledge of the methods for exploring, evaluating and refurbishing soil and groundwater contamination as well as safe knowledge of soil protection law QGIS, ArcGIS, AquaInfoCS as well as high IT affinity and readiness for new tools
