Social pedagogue as residential group and pedagogical support (m/f/d)

As a department, the Landesgymnasium for high-skilled (LGH) operates the largest state boarding school in southern Germany. Around 250 highly talented pupils are taught in a specially adapted eight-year high school with the aim of a general apprentice. In the boarding houses it maintains housing groups for pupils of grades 7 to 12. The boarding concept is to be further developed through synergy effects of a multi-professional team. For this reason, the team of teachers, school psychology, school social work, nurses and volunteers will be supplemented by social pedagogues as of 2026/27. For the boarding school of the LGH, on 01.09.2026 is the place of one/one Social pedagogue (w/m/d) (Deleting group S11b) in full time.

Proactive cooperation in a team of boarding school members to support pupils in the housing groups Design of leisure and everyday situations, such as joint cooking, excursions and group evenings Participation in the organisation of boarding with relevant school and non-school partners in boarding school Individual advice and support for pupils in all areas of life as well as a partnership and supportive parental work Participation in school and extracurricular events Participation in the training of youth workers A change in the task section is reserved.

Studies of social education/social work with degree Bachelor, Diploma or Master or studies of pedagogy with degree Bachelor, Diploma or Master or comparable qualifications Willingness to work in shiftwork (including night and weekend services) Detection of at least 2 years of work on the basis of studies in a relevant field In addition, the following properties/experiences are desirable: Experience in educational work with young people and young adults in community institutions Joy of team-oriented work Planning and organizational capacity Responsibility and competence Gender competence and intercultural competence Motivation for participation and further development in the area of responsibility Motivation for the guidance of youth and home educators in training
