The German Children's and Youth Foundation (DKJS) operates on behalf of the Saxon State Ministry for Culture the department of Start Chances Saxony. The module „Fachgruppen Mathematik“ is implemented in cooperation with the Stiftung Kinderforschungschen. The participating primary and upper schools are accompanied by the Foundation in the Mathematics Departments with various offers and formats. The team of the Departments of Mathematics consists of 4 – 6 persons and works closely with the Fachkolleg:innen der Deutschen Kinder- und Jugendstiftung. The non-profit Children's Foundation is committed to good early education in the fields of mathematics, computer science, natural science and technology (MINT) – with the aim of making children strong for the future and empowering them to act sustainably. Together with its local network partners, the Foundation offers a national educational programme for educational specialists and teachers. You are supported to accompany children in Kita and Primary Schools qualified in the discovery, research and learning. The Foundation for Children researches educational opportunities, promotes interest in the STEM area and professionalizes educational staff. We are looking for the support of our project team „Start Chances Fachgruppen Mathematik Sachsen“ in the field of content & training as of 1st. March 2026 four Referent:internal content & training with focus on mathematical education (w/m/d)

Reference number 2026-005 in part or full time, between 25 hours/week and 39 hours/week, limited until 31 July 2028. We intend to occupy this place which is subject to the availability of the allocated project resources. A commitment to employment will only be effective with the final confirmation of the funding by the grantor.

Systematic vision, analysis and participation in the offers of the specialist competence centre (FKOM) Mathematics of the CHANCEN association as well as need analysis of the participating basic and/or Oberschulen in Saxony: Selection, adaptation and addition of materials, contents and concepts of the specialist competence centre Responsibility for the content-methodic design, implementation, refurbishment and monitoring of the Mathematics Group Meetings (in presence and digital), accompanying transfer formats (digital) and a central supra-regional specialist event (in presence) on mathematical education in Saxony Expert contact person for the target group and moderation of the exchange and advice of the target group also outside the events Cooperation with the department Start Chances Saxony and the Competence Center Mathematics

You have a completed academic degree (Master, Diploma, Magister) with mathematical discipline (preferably with a focus on mathematics-didactics) or comparable skills and knowledge You have professional experience in the field of education and training of pedagogical professionals in primary and/or secondary school and bring knowledge in teaching and adult education methodology with You have solid knowledge of Saxon school structures and teaching practice You have strong analysis and concept skills to create effective educational opportunities You enjoy working in the team, maintain general tasks of project management in mind (organization, communication, monitoring) and have a strong communication skills You are ready for regular travel – in Saxony and nationwide You identify yourself with the values and objectives of the Foundation for Children and the objectives of the Start Chance Program You ideally have a driving licence
