Senior Legal Counsel Banking, Trading & Crypto law

Together with your team, you will check, coordinate and answer our advice from internal stakeholders, in particular (but not exclusively) on banking issues and all legal issues related to (innovative) financial market products. A special focus is on trading and crypto financial products. In doing so, you advise our product team on all legal issues and agree on legal and regulatory requirements and communication with the supervisory authority in close cooperation with the management and compliance team. In addition, you will legally accompany both the supply of financial products in new markets, and you will be voting on local legal issues with internal and external local coins from our European markets. You have the unique opportunity to participate directly in the development of a new customer experience in banking, trading & Crypto and to support your legal expertise. You will work in our banking law team and build and manage the Trading & Crypto law area. You advise managers to manage all legal issues related to trading and financial market products. You evaluate the applicability and requirements of legal and regulatory requirements and guidelines for our banking and financial market products. You develop new concepts and tax projects in the field of banking law and new financial market products. You work closely with the Product Team and the Compliance Team and are responsible for compliance with applicable regulations. You are a contact person for regulatory reviews and complaints. You independently coordinate cooperation and communication with external legal advisers.

What you need to be successful Background: You are a German full lawyer and have completed the first and second legal state exams with above-average results. You can present at least 2 years of professional experience in banking and financial market law in a renowned firm or in an international company (even Fintech). Comprehensive knowledge in banking and financial law and in adjacent jurisdictions are required. Experience in other jurisdictions is welcome. Professional experience as a lawyer/legal attorney and relevant specialist attorney are a plus. German and English fluent in word and writing, any other language (especially French, Spanish or Italian) is a plus. abilities: You have a strong interest in technical and business relationships as well as digital business models. You work independently, meet decisions and are ready to represent them internally and externally. You are ready to explore new topics and legal areas and to closely accompany dynamic regulatory developments. You have a high level of integrity, willingness to use and self-initiative and do not shy away from personal responsibility.
