Number: MER00040R8 The “Passive Security” department is an integral part of the Mercedes-Benz car development in Sindelfingen. The Team Strategy, Innovation and Requirement Management Integrale Security coordinates strategic topics on content issues, objectives and implementation of passive and active safety requirements. The focus is on the further development, future objectives and interests of vehicle safety and innovation developments in this regard. The team will organise relevant decision-making bodies within the RD and prepare necessary strategic decisions and present them to the decision-making bodies of the RD. The team is also involved in the coordination and preparation of vehicle safety-relevant events of Mercedes-Benz. Furthermore, new technical concepts and solutions for future safety concepts and components are analyzed, developed and developed as standard until market launch. In addition, the team can monitor, analyze and introduce changes in the organization and show action needs. The team also supports or coordinates the planning, preparation and organisation of rating tests. Our neighboring teams and areas include vehicle safety development with vehicle crash tests, the development of safety components and systems (airbag and belt systems, safety sensors and PRE-SAFE) as well as accident research. As a working student, you support the team with the following tasks as part of the strategic tasks: Project and Event Support

Preparation, organisation and preparation of events, including in-house annual awards with an idea award and innovation award, including planning, appointment organization, preparation of documents and documentation. Operational participation in the preparation and execution of events on vehicle safety including Possibility to attend the event day, participant management and event support.

Process support

Participation in workshops and brainstorming sessions on selected topics and processes followed by preparation and follow-up of the workshop results and identification of relevant ideas for follow-up. Documentation and presentation support

Creation, formatting and translation of presentations and documents for upper management (i.e. PowerPoint) in compliance with corporate design guidelines. Data and tool support

Support in the creation or adaptation of internal Excel macros (VBA) for process optimization as well as creation of supportive instructions for use in the team. Research, application and structured compilation of information on new software tools and AI applications as a collaboration for the team. Media monitoring

Implementation of Internet and media research including preparation of relevant information. Support in committee management for new safety requirements

Co-operation in the planning and preparation of internal decision-making bodies for demand-oriented communication and necessary directional decisions for changes or new safety requirements, especially through ratings or legislative changes. The tasks shall be performed primarily on site in Sindelfingen. Mobile work can be agreed in exceptional cases for individual tasks. The activity can begin from May 2026.

Continuous studies in engineering (e.g. vehicle engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering), industrial engineering or comparable courses

Secure handling of MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)

Fun and talent in the design of management-friendly presentations

Knowledge of how to use and use AI tools for text and graphic support

Structured and independent operation and reliability

High motivation, team skills and communication strength

German- and very good English-language knowledge in word and writing are a prerequisite for application
