The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft (www.fraunhofer.de) currently operates 76 institutes and research institutions in Germany and is one of the leading organisations for application-oriented research. Around 32 000 employees develop the annual research volume of 3.4 billion euros.

The Fraunhofer Association for Innovation Research unites five Fraunhofer institutes, which jointly support actors from business, politics, science and society in the analysis and design of innovation systems. The joint office at the Fraunhofer Institute for Labour and Organisation IAO in Stuttgart initiates, coordinates and accompanies the joint activities. With its unique combination of socio-economic and socio-technical research, the association provides sound guidance to identify complex developments at an early stage and to actively shape them in the sense of sustainable innovation.

What you do with us

They work in an interdisciplinary team to initiate and support the transfer of innovative and pioneering research topics and projects.

In particular, the following activities are undertaken:

• Analysis, development and implementation of innovative transfer, knowledge exchange and communication concepts in the network of the Fraunhofer Association Innovation Research
• Communicative and media implementation of cross-linked topics in applied research
• Planning, implementation and analysis of transfer and communication measures of the office (print media, website, social media, newsletter, etc.)
• Technical support and editorial planning for the podcast »Bridging Innovation«
• Editorial and editorial of press texts and information materials
• Answering internal and external requests
• Support for the further development of the external communication strategy and the introduction of new formats

What you bring

• A completed university degree (e.g. in communication science, marketing or knowledge cultures)
• At best experience in science communication and in the development and implementation of communication strategies
• High affinity for digital media and innovative formats of knowledge transfer
• Team spirit and strong communication skills
• Very good knowledge of German and English
• An independent, structured and creative way of working

Employment, remuneration and social benefits are based on the public service collective agreement (TVöD). In addition, Fraunhofer can provide performance and success-dependent variable compensation components.
