Our customer, the EVOS Hamburg, is a significant part of the Hamburg port economy and offers extensive services for the storage and handling of liquid products, such as fuels and chemicals. Founded in 1953, the tank store comprises a capacity of around 670,000 cubic meters in 149 tanks. Since 2019, the tank warehouse has been part of the EVOS B.V as EVOS Hamburg, and employs around 130 employees. The company is characterized by a very family coexistence and flat hierarchies. As part of a highly international group, it attaches great importance to safety, sustainability and efficiency and continuously invests in improving its facilities to meet the current and future requirements of the market.

In order to expand the importance of the purchasing department, to develop strategically and to ensure good international cooperation, a team leader Purchasing (m/w/d) is now looking for the Hamburg location.

Responsible management and control of the Purchasing Division at the Hamburg location Optimization and consolidation of strategic supplier relationships with the aim of ensuring an economically sensible, stable and sustainable supply chain Identification of suitable suppliers as well as qualification, development and control of new suppliers Consultation, monitoring and implementation of contract negotiations with suppliers and other contractual partners Development of expertise as a specialist in a specialized shopping category in the context of cooperation with the global group purchase ensuring compliance with legal regulations; Support for budget objectives and implementation of cost savings Active participation in group-level meetings and close exchange with shopping colleagues at other locations

Successfully completed studies in business management, supply chain management, engineering or related fields Long-term professional experience in the field of purchasing, contract management or in a comparable position ideally in the context of plant construction, preferably in the chemical industry Good analytical understanding and safe handling of commercial and technical relationships Influential experience in team management and international cooperation Outstanding communication, negotiation ability and experience in handling complex projects practice tested and reliable knowledge of German and English; Knowledge in Dutch or Spanish is a plus
