The Klinikum Esslingen is a hospital of central care, which lives from and through the diversity of its employees, places particular emphasis on modern medicine and collegial atmosphere and is deeply rooted with the city of Esslingen on the Neckar and its people.

The clinic for children and adolescents, together with the Department of Child Surgery, provides approx. 4,000 stationary and more than 20,000 outpatient patients on 4 stations (64 beds) and in the empowerment clinics, the Institute's Hospital (SPZ) and in the paediatric emergency room in close networking with established pediatricians and the KV emergency practice. Empowerment psychologies exist for neuropaediatrics, gastroenterology, endocrinology/diabetology, nephrology, children's cardiology, neonatology, which in each case serve large parts of the spectrum of subdiscipline. At the general paediatric stations, children and young people of all ages are interdisciplinaryly supervised. High-quality equipment, such as a central monitor monitoring, enables high-flow therapies and the possibility of post-interventional monitoring. Perinatologically, we as Level I center are responsible for the supply of extremely small early and newborns also of the surrounding birth clinics and equipped with all modern devices and techniques (Baby-NAW, NO-breathing, active cooling, aEEG, FiO2-Controller, Birth Trolley etc.). In the centre of childhood and youth medicine there is a close cooperation with child surgery, the clinic for children's and youth psychiatry, psychosomatics and psychotherapy, and the clinic for psychotherapeutic medicine and psychotherapy. We are looking for support from March 2025 or at the next possible time, also in the field of neonatological and paediatric intensive care.

This is your working day

• Care of stationary patients with broad paediatric and child-surgical spectrum
• Patient care of children and young people in our interdisciplinary emergency
• partial rotations in areas such as SPZ, sonography, special ambulances
• Supply of early and newborns in a circular hall, weekly station and interactive children's intensive care station (Level I PNZ)
