Digital Impact Engineering for what counts: The value chain As a ZEISS in-house partner, we develop industry-specific digital solutions for business-critical products and processes – from idea to implementation for ZEISS and external customers. We take into account regulatory requirements, outdated IT systems and high cost and time pressure in order to create compliant solutions that match our customers' value chain. Your role in ZEISS Digital Innovation In the Pharmaceutical & Life Science business development management, you are responsible for the continuous development and successful implementation of the ZEISS Digital Innovation (ZDI) portfolio of software development and consulting services. Based on a deep understanding of the challenges, requirements and opportunities of target customers, identify business potentials, develop new customer segments and partnerships and develop strategic options for portfolio development. In won projects, you are actively involved in process consulting.

In addition, your tasks include:

Acquise & Network Developing a network to potential new customers and partners in the pharmaceutical and life science market Identification of project potentials and support in the extraction of software development and consulting projects and participation in the design phase of customer projects

Analysis of activities and projects for new and existing customers and the positioning and portfolio of competitors in the relevant market segment for identifying business potentials for ZDI Continuous observation of digitalization trends and market requirements in the pharmaceutical and life science industry (Branchenveranstaltungen, Marktforschung, Medienanalyse)

Portfolio and strategy development Implementation of prototype and research projects to qualify and evaluate strategic ideas and derive portfolio and strategy adjustments Implementation of the adapted portfolio elements in the organisation (e.g. marketing strategy, resources, necessary skills) and monitoring the economic performance and introduction of optimization measures

Marketing & Thought Leadership Preparation and implementation of expert lectures, network formats and trade fair appearances to strengthen ZDI's public positioning as a Thought Leader Ensure the development of meaningful content for marketing the responsible portfolio elements in cooperation with marketing

Extensive and well-founded professional experience, including at least 2 years in the fields of product management, strategy, business development, sales, marketing, IT or consulting in the Pharmaceuticals or Life Science sectors Experience in the development of software solutions in the Pharmaceuticals & Life Science industries Solid understanding of common software development practices and relevant software technologies Theoretical and practical understanding of corporate strategy and business principles as well as entrepreneurial thinking in order to identify and use business opportunities independently Experience and safe occurrence in the customer and international environment Collaborative skills to work with cross-functional teams and manage them vertically Experience in direct customer communication and strong presentation skills Very good language skills (in word and writing) as well as communication skills in C1 or C2 levels in English, German language skills desirable readiness to travel in Germany and abroad (20%)
