Head of Municipal Operations (m/f/d)

Your tasksAs a local management company, you take over the overall strategic and operational responsibility for a central municipal performance area with a high proximity to the public and a great deal of importance for general care. Your responsibility includes waste management, road cleaning, winter service and workshop. The position is of particular relevance, since the areas mentioned are bundled for the first time in a joint responsibility for leadership. The task of this is to set up local businesses in a future-oriented manner, to develop structures, to modernise processes and to more closely interlink the cooperation of the individual areas. Local operations are currently in a phase of change and targeted modernisation. In the coming years, there are numerous topics and projects that need to be actively designed and implemented. This gives you the opportunity to significantly shape the further development of local operations and to provide sustainable impulses for a modern, efficient and sustainable organisation. In addition to ensuring a stable and efficient running operation, you actively shape the further development of the organization. The opportunity to rethink structures and processes across areas, to interlink meaningfully and to adapt them to the future requirements of a modern municipal establishment. This includes, in particular, further optimising processes, developing the use of digital solutions in a targeted manner and strengthening cooperation between the areas in a sustainable manner. A further focus is on the further development of control and key figures systems (KPIs) in order to increase transparency, to make services comprehensible and to create sound basis for the future orientation of the municipal business. You are a leading person with a willingness to design and the right to develop municipal services in a sustainable, economic and civic manner. You bring together and successfully develop different operational areas under a common strategic orientation. Their excellent communication skills complete the picture. Requirements / Required qualifications: completed technical or economic studies (e.g. business, administration, engineering) or a comparable qualification multiannual professional experience in a leading function, ideally in the municipal environment or service sector and understanding of economic relations ideally knowledge of waste management and road cleaning Organisational strength, willingness to change and willingness to decide combined with a high degree of self-responsibility Experience in the control of change processes and in the further development of organisations and structures safe handling of digital tools and modern management methods fast understanding and finding in complex topics
