As Head of PLC Software Engineering (m/w/d), you are responsible for the development and programming of our highly automated packaging machines. You lead around 40 employees in three teams and ensure that in novative, customer-oriented software and automation solutions are developed – timely, cost-conscious and in the highest quality. In this case, a close interlocking of the machine control with mechanics, hardware and digital products is in the foreground in order to create a complete system solution. With your strategic view and proximity to the projects, you are actively contributing to ideas becoming marketable concepts and keeping our company technologically leading. Unbox your job – your tasks Technical and disciplinary management of three teams with about 40 PLC programmers at the site and other international teams Developing further international teams to improve and expand production Strategic development of the department in the environment of automation, control technology and robotics Responsibility for the development, implementation and optimization of Control Software with focus on Codesys, Schneider Electric and Beckhoff TwinCAT Conception and implementation of a future-oriented PLC software architecture for modular, scalable and predictable machines Designing an integrated solution approach in which digital products and machines together create a higher value for the customer than the sum of their components Promoting the resuscitability of software modules and standardization of cutting points Close cooperation with adjacent areas such as construction, electrical engineering, assembly and software development Support for standardization of programming methods and tools Establishing risk management

Complete study in the field of electrical engineering, mechatronics or automation technology and experience in special machine construction Multiannual professional and management experience in the field of automation including Head of Team Experience in change management and support for change processes in the team Deep know-how in automation and control technology, ideally in Codesys and Schneider / Elau and Beckhoff Very good knowledge in robotics, especially in Scara and Delta kinematics Ideally, experience in building a software architecture that enables simple and efficient implementation of customer-specific applications Communication strength and leadership skills in the international environment Structured and decision-making personality High level of innovation and customer and team orientation
