Karuna is a residential group for single mothers or fathers with a mental illness and their children. We accompany families in a special stage of life, strengthen relationships and enable parents and children to live together. Our work is characterized by a systemic and resource-oriented approach and depends on the individual needs of the families.

Become part of our team as a pedagogical specialist (m/w/d) for our group KARUNA in the Dyeer Waidweg 1 at 30h/week in an indefinite employment.

Responsible − Your job:

• Support and care of single mentally ill mothers and their children in our intensively cared housing
• The focus of your work lies in the promotion and stabilization of the parent-child relationship, the protection of child wellbeing and the promotion of upbringing
• Strengthening and empowering parents on their way to self-governing life together with their children
• Support work - Implementation of assistance planning in cooperation with relevant actors and families
• Takeover of organisational tasks in the establishment and network work

Outstanding − Your profile:

• Completed degree as a Diplom-Social Pedagogist, Bachelor or Master in Social Work (m/w/d) or comparable fields of study (psychology, education, special education) or education
• Professional experience in the educational field as well as work with mentally ill people
• Physical and psychological resilience as well as independent work, sense of responsibility and reliability
• Developed communication and conflict resolution and consulting skills, empathy and good delimitability
• Ready for weekend and shift services
