Caretaker for the Quadrium

The city of Wernau is looking for a*n **Housemaster***in (m/w/d) for the Quadrium at the next possible time with an employment rate of 100 percent**.

The Quadrium is not only the seat of the municipality of Wernau (Neckar), but also a regionally significant cultural, conference and administrative centre. It has various meeting rooms, a civil hall and the Stadthalle. While the meeting rooms are regularly used by renowned regional companies for training and conferences, the Stadthalle offers the appropriate framework for theatre performances, concerts, graduations and numerous other events.

Together with the event team, you will ensure a smooth building operation and contribute significantly to the success of our events.

Your tasks:

• Control and monitoring of ventilation, heating, lighting and concrete core cooling via building control technology
• Support of the closing system and execution of the closing service
• Execution of minor repairs, otherwise commissioning and supervision of specialist firms in coordination with the municipal office
• cleaning and maintenance of the outdoor facilities, paths and the forecourt, including the sweeping machine, winter service around the Quadrium
• Pre- and post-preparation of the event rooms, in particular seating and table presentation, including room planning, taking into account the assembly workshop regulations
• support in the preparation of the event rooms with regard to technical equipment, for example support in the establishment and operation of audiovisual event technology
• Supervision and support of external service providers of event technology
• Operation of the event technology during an event
• Hosting of events
• Participation in the deployment planning of the staff of the Stadthallenteam
• Contact person on site during events
• Decrease and clean up of premises after events

Your profile:

• completed craft or technical training
• Professional experience in building management is desirable
• High performance, flexibility and willingness to work even on weekends and on Sundays and holidays
• careful, independent and committed procedures
• good knowledge of German in word and writing
• pronounced service orientation as well as friendly and binding appearance, good ways of handling
• Class B licence is required
