In the product development department for Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGV), we are currently building a new field of competence for autonomous and remote controlled systems in our commercial vehicle series. Our goal is to safely integrate UGV solutions into existing vehicle platforms and operational/digital ecosystems of our customers – from mission planning and teleoperation to Fleet Services to data and security architectures. As UGV Systems Architect – Operations & Digital Platforms, you are responsible for the end-to-end system architecture for operation, backend/microservices, portals/UX, data platforms and security – in close cooperation with vehicle systems, the Autonomy stack and our technology/integrated partners:inside Be part of our global team: You make the difference – YOUMAKEUS

architectural responsibility over the entire UGV operation: definition of operating models (remote/teleoperated, supervised automation), deployment processes, Fleet Readiness, Teleoperations infrastructure and technical approval criteria Backend and API architecture: Design of Microservices, Mission and Fleet Services, Identity & Access, Mandantability and Integration Interfaces to Autonomy Stack, OTA, Card/Perception Services and Billing Portale & Operator-UX: System design and customer portal incl. Role/Right Models and Workflows Data & Security Architecture: Design of Telemetry Pipelines, Data Quality, Access Concepts, Data Lifecycle and Cybersecurity Measures Regulatorik & Safety in operation: Technical derivation of data protection/data residence requirements, export control, SOTIF/Safety requirements and participation in risk assessments and application releases Technical basis of decision: architecture roadmaps, make/buy evaluations, design documentation, coordination with specialist areas and external technology partners:

Complete study of computer science, electrical engineering, vehicle technology or comparable Multiannual experience in system or software architecture for safety-critical platforms, robotics/autonomy, IoT/Edge backups or mission/feed systems Deep understanding of microservice architectures, integrations (REST/gRPC, event-based), identity & access, observability, DevSecOps and CI/CD Knowledge of operating systems of autonomous systems, latency/network requirements, remote operation and safety and security aspects in field operation Experience in the design of user portals, workflows, data models and technical gateways for customer or operator systems Analytical strength, systematic way of thinking and ability to prepare complex end-to-end architectures for addressing Cloud-native software and platform engineering skills are desirable German and English skills Personal competencies Structured, solution-oriented operation High initiative and Ownership Communication and team skills Secure performance before stakeholders Ready to travel for workshops/tests Driving licence class C/CE desirable
