The Neurological Clinic Westend is a specialist clinic for early neurological rehabilitation in a private institution with about 140 beds and about 500 employees approx. 30 kilometers south of Kassel. Our range of treatments in phase B is wide and extensive: In the beginning of the intensive care unit, it includes intensive medical, mostly respiratory treatment (often also with continuous dialysis requirement/CVHD). For this purpose, 26 ventilation and monitoring sites are available at our intensive care stations in two separate units, which were rebuilt in 2015 and 2016. While Unit I offers 11 single rooms with pre-room locks the possibility of supplying high levels of isolation patients with hospital hygiene, the treatment on Unit II takes place in 10 single rooms and two spacious double rooms. In this highly specialized framework, we are recognized as the DGNR-certified Centre for Reconciliation in the early neurological-neurosurgical rehabilitation. In addition, a further 72 beds are available in the area of the periphery (phase B), of which 24 are available on a state-of-the-art IMC station opened in 2026. When phase C is reached, further treatment takes place directly with us in the house or in a cooperating clinic.
